Sacred Heart Educational Center is a Catholic Christian Educational Tutoring Center operated by the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church in the small village of Baltic, Connecticut. Tutoring is available on a one to one basis. We welcome all ages, all races, all nationalities, and all creeds. The teachers are academically qualified, compassionate, kind, and understanding. A wide variety of courses are offered for instruction; however, foreign languages are not available. We welcome you to our Learning Center. We send you God’s blessings and wish you a pleasant day. Mission Statement of Sacred Heart Educational Center Sacred Heart Educational Center is a Catholic Christian Tutoring Center operated by the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church; it is open to all ages, all creeds, all races and all nationalities; the aim of the Center is to offer academic services to students and to adults who are experiencing academic difficulties; the Center also offers enrichment lessons to those students who would like to enter more deeply into their subject matter. History of Sacred Heart Educational Center The History of Sacred Heart Educational Center goes back to 1958 when Mother Marie Alma began the Center with Mother Theresita. The purpose was twofold: The Center seeks to offer additional help to students who have difficulty learning or with the language, and to offer enrichment activities for the students who need to be challenged outside the regular classroom. This purpose is the same today as it was when the Center began. Today it is a thriving and active learning center in its own right.
